Custom Machined Power Boat Propeller 03

This is a custom machined boat propeller which the manufacturer was contracted to duplicate. In order to do so, they needed an accurate model of the prop with which to machine a replacement. Using the Artec Eva, the propeller was fully captured and rendered in very high resolution for conversion to CAD. Note that the blade edges appear ‘ragged’. This is due to 3D scanners have a great deal of difficulty capturing very fine edges. However, there is more enough detail in the scan to create a perfect recreation in CAD.
