Decorative Tin Ceiling Tiles From 1906

This is what makes 3D scanning so enjoyable. The couple who owns this bank building that was erected in 1906 are doing a completely detailed restoration of this beautiful building. Sometime since 1938 when the bank closed, there were some minor leaks from the second floor which led to water pooling in several of the decorative tin ceiling tiles. This caused them to corrode and left several holes in the ceiling. The owners contacted all of the major reproduction companies only to find that no-one had ever seen this pattern before. Enter 3D Scan STL, we scanned the tiles, edging and molding. With these models, we are able to create authentic replacements by printing molds with which to stamp out several tiles for the clients.
