Elevator Motor Assembly #3

We scanned this Otis elevator motor & power assembly at the top of an active elevator shaft. Space was extremely limited and access to the back of the unit was not possible. This meant the 3D model had to be split and filled in AFTER all of the rebuilding was done with CAD primatives (blocks & cylinders). Once the rebuilding was complete, the model was sliced through the middle and the open edges and voids then manually filled in. This required the use of three different mesh editing programs to achieve the final result. No one of these major products has all of the tools necessary to accomplish this. It was a great deal of work to make this happen and we pride ourselves on our ability to meet our client’s needs.
