Scanned with the AutoScan Inspec, this is the lower portion of a gear shift assembly onto which one of the two top pieces in our examples would be installed. Because these were scanned with a Metrology grade scanner, the incredibly minute details, including dirt and grime inside of the handle, were accurately captured. This model is the basis for reverse engineering the part into CAD so it can easily be reproduced.
