Greenland Inuit Sledge from Robert E. Peary’s Last Polar Expedition

The Missouri Historical Society here in St. Louis came to us with a request to scan a very unique and historical item in their collection. It is the sledge () that Robert E. Peary used in his final polar expedition in 1908-1909. The sledge is too fragile to be on display, so with 3D scanning, the model can be viewed online from any angle. Because of its fragility, the underside was unable to be scanned. So the planks were just filled in to complete the object for rendering.
