Industrial Metal Straightening Die

A local company came to us with a problem. They are in the business of straightening metal, bar, tube, flat, square, just about anything. The dies they have with which to perform the straightening date back to the 50’s. This company is in the process of digitizing all of their dies and the time it would take to draw these from ‘scratch’ is almost monumental. That’s where 3D Scan STL comes in. The dies are being scanned in extremely high resolution and converted to very sharp, detailed 3D models. From here, the next step is converting them to Solidworks. Thanks to very powerful and robust software, we are able to take the scans and convert them into fully defined solid objects in CAD, in this case, Solidworks. The time and cost savings for the company is substantial. They are extremely satisfied and are now a long term client.
