For this application, the exact shape of this warning light was required and the easiest way to aquire it was by scanning. Scanned with an Artec Eva at standard resolution, this light assembly was captured as installed on a fire truck. The shape of the light and the shape of the truck were necessary to design and produce wedge style adapters to mount the light perfectly vertical so the warning light output was directed to the back of the truck and not up in the air where it would be of no use. The end result was a perfect fit.
